Nine Mile Road
Improvement Projects

The community surrounding Nine Mile Road in Pensacola is rapidly growing and home to the vastly expansive Navy Federal Credit Union headquarters. In support of FDOT, ABC Group provided public information services for the $100 million widening project on Nine Mile Road, from Beulah Road to east of the U.S. 29 interchange.

The project included widening the heavily traveled corridor from two to four travel lanes, and constructing a new bridge over Eleven Mile Creek, in addition to new sound walls and sidewalks.

The new sound walls were constructed adjacent to a large neighborhood and required consistent communication with the homeowners’ association regarding the design, potential impacts from installation, and the schedule.

ABC Group’s qualified and experienced communications team led the public information efforts and community relations for the project. They worked hard on behalf of FDOT to build trust with community partners such as the Navy Federal Credit Union, and provided proactive, reliable, and effective communication.
