U.S. 331 Bridge Construction Project, Santa Rosa Beach, FL

U.S. 331 Bridge Construction Project, Santa Rosa Beach, FL

ABC Group provided public information support for the construction of a new, two-lane relief bridge across Choctawhatchee Bay on U.S. 331, adjacent to the existing Clyde B. Wells Bridge.

The new bridge capacity, combined with the existing Clyde B. Wells Bridge, accommodates two north and two southbound travel lanes. This expansion relieves congestion, enhances safety, and improves mobility for the estimated 14,000 drivers traveling on the bridge daily.

The 2.5-mile bridge reconstruction project also included a 400-foot fishing pier, boat ramps, docks, and a public park with a panoramic view of the bay. The schedule was challenging because the contractor had limited time periods to complete pile driving activities due to restrictions implemented to protect endangered species present in Choctawhatchee Bay.
