State Road 77 serves as a primary north-south route from Alabama to the beaches in the panhandle and as an important hurricane evacuation route to access Interstate 10 for both Bay and Washington County residents. Widening the roadway from two to four lanes has been a multiyear FDOT initiative.
ABC Group is supporting the most recent construction effort on State Road 77, a $56 million project focused on widening the final 3.5-mile stretch through the Town of Wausau.
Establishing and maintaining a positive relationship with the Wausau community, along with the many commuters that drive State Road 77 daily, are primary goals of the ABC Group public information and community outreach activities. This includes developing a community awareness plan, hosting a public information open house and other special events, developing news releases for area media, and social media outreach.
