U.S. 98 Pedestrian Underpass in Inlet Beach

FDOT is constructing a lighted pedestrian underpass beneath U.S. 98, just east of County Road 30A in Inlet Beach. This is a highly anticipated project for the rapidly growing lnlet Beach community. Key stakeholders, such as the Walton County Tourism Development Council, Scenic Walton, and nearby business owners, have worked with FDOT and the Walton County Commission to make the project a reality. This intersection is a primary gateway to the beaches of South Walton along County Road 30A, with an average annual daily traffic count of approximately 28,000.

ABC Group is responsible for developing and implementing a community awareness plan, direct-mail notification materials, and conducting door-to-door work zone canvasses for adjacent property owners. Timely and consistent communication with the community has been vital in maintaining rapport with stakeholders.
