Cervantes Street Safety Improvements Project, Escambia County, FL
ABC Group served as the public information consultant for the Cervantes Street Safety Improvements Project, a key initiative aimed at enhancing safety along Cervantes Street, between A and Dominguez Streets, in the heart of Pensacola. Our team was responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive community awareness plan, which included social media campaigns, media relations, targeted community outreach, and direct communication with local stakeholders.
This project involved extensive grassroots efforts to engage underserved and multilingual communities. One of our key strategies was hosting “pop-up” meetings at high-traffic locations and community events. These informal gatherings allowed stakeholders to receive information, ask questions, and provide valuable feedback.
Additionally, we expanded our outreach by collaborating with local schools, churches, sports leagues, recreational venues, HOAs, and other community organizations. These partnerships helped us connect with residents and foster open lines of communication across diverse groups.
To ensure inclusivity, our team developed multi-lingual collateral materials, which we distributed through social media and email. We also hand-delivered these materials to targeted community hubs, ensuring that all groups had access to crucial project information.
