US 98 Tyndall Airforce Base Flyover

ABC Group is serving as the public information consultant for an elevated roadway project on Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB) in Bay County. The $19.95 million effort will improve mobility on U.S. 98 and enhance security for Tyndall Air Force Base.

The design/build project focuses on an approximately one-mile section of U.S. 98 centered on the installation’s main gate at the Airey Avenue/Tyndall Drive intersection. The two U.S.98 travel lanes will be elevated above Tyndall’s main entrance. East of the main gate, a second overpass will be constructed above Louisiana Avenue to allow base traffic to travel between the support facilities on the south side of the installation and the flight line on the northside without the need to pass through the security checkpoint at the main gate.

The ABC Group team is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Community Awareness Plan (CAP) that included identifying key stakeholders, developing branding and messaging, holding public information open houses and groundbreaking, managing social and earned media, and developing collateral materials.  The public information team prides itself in providing timely and accurate information to help stakeholders make informed travel decisions about our travel plans and keeping the community updated on the progress of the project.
